ADSL 4 was formed to address a gap in the market where many companies relied on a single connection for critical applications and for running new convergence applications such as VoIP Solutions, VPN provision, IPCCTV security and Video Conferencing.
With the growth of VoIP, VPN, IPCCTV and Video Conferencing a standard Internet Connection is not ideal. Each of the applications requires their own different configuration depending on the use and client requirements. For example a client running terminal services across a VPN does not necessarily require a fast Internet connection but an Internet Connection that is capable of carrying multiple sessions with the ability to add additional bandwidth when required.
ADSL 4 is aimed at the reseller channel to companies who may be adding their own value-added services and require a suitable business class Internet connection with resilience, bespoke configuration and support.
